BioMag Laboratory is located in Helsinki University Hospital (HUH), in the southern wing of the Meilahti Tower Hospital. The main entrance to BioMag is in this wing, laboratory is downstairs, P-floor.

Meilahti Hospital Area
The Meilahti Hospital area houses Meilahti Tower Hospital, Meilahti Triangle Hospital, the Department of Oncology, the Eye and Ear Hospital, the Children’s Hospital, the Children’s Castle (Hospital), the Women’s Hospital, the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics and Haartman Hospital (City of Helsinki). Other facilities located in the area include the HUS administration building, material centre, service centre, power centre and real estate services as well as the Medical Library and Biomedicum Helsinki 1 and 2.

Currently (2016), the Meilahti hospital area is undergoing extensive development, which also affects patient and visitor access to the area. Make sure you have enough time to move from one place to another, as the number of parking spaces and pedestrian routes is limited due to construction.

Parking in Meilahti
There are two parking garages in the hospital area, with entrances located on Haartmanninkatu (P1) and on Stenbäckinkatu (P2).

The P2 garage offers a signposted tunnel connection to the clinics in the Meilahti area. Pay for your parking at the automatic payment station at the exit. Debit and credit cards are currently not accepted.

Public transport
From the city centre of Helsinki you can take a bus or a tram. Eg. busses number 194 and 195 leave from the Elielinaukio, on the area in the northern side of the railway station. Tram number 4 goes along Mannerheimintie to Tukholmankatu.
